Definition: Residential Buildings are all buildings with at least 50% residential use (referring to total floor space), excluding residential establishments (Wohnheime)Dwellings are defined as a unit of one or more rooms, including a kitchen or kitchenette. Apart from mandatory water supply, toilet and sink a dwelling must have lockable access from either a stairway, a vestibule or outdoors. Rooms include all rooms with at least 6 sqm living space, including kitchens. Please note: in colloquial german a 3-room apartment would consist of 3 rooms (mostly 2 bedrooms and 1 living room) and a kitchen.
